how it works

I draw on my background in photojournalism, art, and anthropology to make photographs using a candid and documentary approach.

At times you'll not even know I'm there, yet I'm also always ready with a smile when the moment calls for it. I enjoy being a professional, and getting to know those that I work with. Balance is the name of the game.

Proud pop, by Jesse Ward Stephen 2007
I enjoy training to have an eye for the uncanny and the classic all at once. I appreciate the moment, but shoot for the bigger picture. I like to keep it fun.
The shoot is just the beginning. I strive to realize the best set of shots possible and to create a visual narrative. What makes this line of work worthwhile - kindly forgive the unavoidable pun - is vision.
